Our Favorite Bouquets of 2020

We are so excited to be offering floral design services! We love providing beautiful, wedding day flowers to our couples and appreciate this creative outlet in the midst of wedding planning. One of our favorite ways to start a new year is to take a look back at some highlights from the previous year. We showed you some of our favorite floral designs from 2019, and now we’re going to highlight our favorite floral designs from 2020! With such a difficult year for so many of our couples and industry friends, we wanted our couples’ weddings to be extra special. So, of course, we put a little extra love in the arrangements we created for them!

This vibrant, summer wedding at Homewood was inspired by vivid colors and a modern design! This bouquet blended together a perfect balance of white and ivory flowers and bright blue and pink blooms!

We see a lot of couples that love the classic, elegant look of all white flowers and mixed greenery. While we love the trend ourselves, we appreciate using a loose, organic design style to give these arrangements a unique look! The wedding bouquet from this rustic chic spring wedding is the perfect example!

When people think of wedding bouquets, they think of classic wedding flowers such as roses, hydrangeas, peonies, etc. but we always appreciate adding flowers that people may not think of! While cascading bouquets often use a mix of different flowers, we decided to use beautiful, white orchids as the cascading blooms in this bouquet! We think the combination of the compact, classic floral arrangement combined so well with the flowing, unstructured look of the orchids for this romantic Biltmore elopement!

Give the people what they want! This sweet couple hosted an intimate winter wedding at Homewood close to the holidays. So, they decided to bring in some Christmas themed elements to their wedding day to create a cheerful, cozy atmosphere for their friends and family. This wedding day is a great example of how truly customizable a wedding day can be! There are always ways to bring in unique and personalized touches to any wedding detail, no matter how big or how small!

We are never afraid to use color! This perfect, summer bouquet is a great inspiration for anyone looking to bring some extra colors into their wedding day without feeling overwhelmed. The pastel tones create a beautiful mix of hues that wonderfully capture the natural summer colors we find in the mountains!

There is a recent trend of wedding bouquets that feature one large focal flower. Most trends we have seen use large dahlias or peonies as the center bloom. We decided to use a burgundy King Protea for this bouquet to perfectly capture the unique, modern design elements for this Fall wedding at The Ridge.

While most fall weddings feature flowers with a red or blue undertone, as we’ve mentioned before, we aren’t afraid to bring in a little color into our floral arrangements! This romantic, fall wedding at Homewood was decorated with lush, colorful floral arrangements throughout the space. The wedding bouquet here was the perfect combination of classic fall colors and lighter, more vivid blooms. We also love the mix of light, large, lush blooms with the smaller, darker toned and textured filler flowers!

This wide, organic bouquet is one of our favorites of all time! We typically use classic greenery such as ruscus and eucalyptus when creating our wedding bouquets, but this Pampas grass gave this fall wedding bouquet a truly unique touch! We also used a variety of straw flowers in different colors to give this bouquet a one of a kind textured look. The bridesmaids in this wedding party all wore different colored dresses that were the perfect blend of fall tones. We used specific flowers that helped bring in these colors into the bridesmaids bouquets as well.

Just as the classic, all white bouquet above, this ivory and blush color palette is a great example of using classic wedding colors but using a lush, loose design style to create a unique, organic arrangement. The blue undertone from the dusty miller helps highlight the blush flowers that would otherwise get lost in the ivory and white blooms.

This fall wedding at a downtown brewery needed dark toned flowers with classic greenery to help create a romantic ambiance in the otherwise modern space of the venue. This loosely structured bouquet used a lot of mixed greenery with a few pops of unique flowers to help create a natural floral theme in the industrial style space of the brewery.

This floral design style was a first for us! We hadn’t gotten the opportunity to create a bouquet inspired by wildflowers, but we are so glad we had the chance to do so for this outdoor fall wedding at Homewood! Wildflowers are exactly that: wild. Putting them together in this structured arrangement created a beautiful harmony of vivid colors while still allowing each flower to show off its unique appearance. We also used small amounts of short, structured greenery to ensure that these small flowers didn’t get lost in a blend of other larger floral elements.

We are so grateful to have been a part of such beautiful, sweet weddings this past year. We truly appreciated the resilience of our couples as they navigated their way through planning a wedding during a pandemic. While planning their weddings and designing their floral elements, one thing was apparent.

Love is not Cancelled.
