We had the pleasure of planning and designing Sarah and Dylan’s beautiful May wedding at Homewood in Asheville, NC. The details were extra special for this one.
Venue
The wedding ceremony and reception took place at Homewood, a historic 1920s stone manor located in the charming Montford neighborhood of Asheville, NC.
The ceremony was held outside in the Homewood garden in front of colorful hanging flowers. After the ceremony, while guests enjoyed cocktail hour, the couple took full advantage of Homewood’s gorgeous exterior to take some pictures.
Flowers
The couple loves color, so we decided to use a lot of bright and cheery colors in their floral design. Dylan’s boutonniere was made using a rich, burgundy ranunculus with a touch of greenery. Sarah’s bridal bouquet featured an array of vibrant blooms including yellow peonies, snap dragon, and poppies. We think the contrast between these bright colored blooms and Sarah and Dylan’s more neutral attire was beautiful and unique.
Dress
Sarah word a gorgeous vintage-inspired lace dress with an elegant train, while her bridesmaids adorned simply baby blue gowns. The groom Dylan looked ultra handsome in a light blue suit with a monochromatic blue tie and vest.
Ceremony
The ceremony took place outside in Homewoods whimsical and intimate garden space. The couple gave their vows underneath brightly colored flowers hanging from a rustic arbor. It was a perfect spring day!
Decor
Sarah and Dylan are both entomologists and wanted to incorporate their interests into their reception decor. They provided us with beautiful gold terrariums filled with moss, bark and insects that were used as guest table centerpieces. We decorated the terrariums with colorful flowers and greenery. Each terrarium was unique and personalized. Check out a few pictures below!
Reception
Sarah and Dylan’s reception took place in Homewood’s historic Great Room. Their seated dinner was followed by some cake cutting, dancing, and sunset pictures! The couple was sent off with a fun bubble exit-we love how the flash reflected off the bubbles to create a colored filter effect on the pictures.
Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your big day! Congratulations to the newlyweds!
