We firmly believe in making wedding planning as stress free and easy as possible. Wedding planning should be fun and memorable. It should bring you and your fiance closer as you plan out a few large and small, but still important, details of your wedding day! One of the ways we offer easy, stress free wedding planning is by offering floral services to our couples! We know how difficult it can be to navigate your way through the many steps of wedding planning, including finding multiple vendors and companies for products and services. We hope that by offering our services for floral design, this eases some anxiety and helps the couple focus on other elements of their planning process. We’ve often been told by our previous couples that being able to communicate and work with one company for multiple services actually helped a lot and made their wedding planning process a bit smoother and easier!
We’d like to use this blog to show our appreciation for flowers and share our love for floral design work with you! We consider our floral design style to be a loose and organic style. We enjoy using a variety of flowers and colors in our designs and creating unique, one of a kind arrangements for each couple and their needs. We’ve highlighted some of our favorites below! We hope you enjoy them as much as we enjoyed working on them!
Classic and Elegant
Who doesn’t love a timeless, elegant design? Many of our couples love the idea of letting a space represent itself and bringing in neutral colors with greenery to emphasize the natural beauty of a venue. One of the most popular requests by far is a mix of elegant whites and ivories with a mix of various greenery. While keeping the floral focus on one color or hue, we always add different textured elements by using a wide variety of flowers. This style still offers the color scheme a couple wants, while allowing the natural, textured elements of the flowers to create a truly unique floral design style.
Loose and Organic
This style of floral design is what we really excel at and love to create! We do appreciate structured designs, but we feel that this style of work best represents our style. We love putting together asymmetrical and unique designs and especially enjoy the fluidity of these types of arrangements. Typically, these designs create wide, large bouquets and styles, but we have also offered this unique style of floral design to smaller arrangements such as bridesmaids bouquets and centerpieces. This loose, organic design works well all year, but the best color schemes and flowers for this style of design are often used for spring and fall weddings.
Bright and Vibrant
We discussed using classic and timeless colors such as whites and ivories to highlight a space. However, we really love when our couples let us create colorful and vibrant arrangements for their special day too! We know that often when people think of vibrant colors, they think they are limited to the spring and summer months for a colorful design. But this is not true! We love working with colorful floral palates throughout the year. During the fall months, we really appreciate using dusty oranges and pinks along with pops of bright colors such as yellows and purples. During the winter months, we love bringing in shades of reds and maroons with mixed greenery and pops of white to create colorful arrangements. If you want color on your wedding day, there are always some colorful flowers in season that could work perfectly to bring your vision to life!
Bold and Unique
While some couples love the idea of using neutral colors and minimalistic design, others want their floral design to really be the focus of their wedding theme. Using fun, unique and interesting designs helps create a focus on the floral elements and creates that “wow” factor that couples may be looking for. Being as we are not full time florists, we do leave the larger installations and structure design to those who solely specialize in floral design, but we love the opportunity to create a few show stopper pieces for our couples!
Fall Inspired Textured Designs
We have saved our favorite for last! We may be biased but fall is definitely one of our favorite seasons. We especially appreciate the fall season since we live in the mountains and there is nothing like seeing the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains’ vibrant and beautiful array of colors as the fall season settles in. Our favorite days are days spent driving on the Blue Ridge Parkway to take in the gorgeous fall views. So, naturally, we love the idea of bringing in fall colors and elements into our work. While most often incorporated into fall weddings, these colors can really be used for weddings during any months. We have created some gorgeous floral arrangements using colors such as oranges, maroons, and yellows throughout the year.
